The last "breakthrough"; Two unfavorable phenomena are coming together over Serbia
According to the latest forecast by meteorologist Ivan Ristic, weather forecasting models announce that on Friday, May 16, a cyclone will arrive and the penetration of cold air from Central Europe to the Balkans, and thus to Serbia.

"IRIE ECMWF announces a cyclone in the southern Adriatic and the penetration of cold air from Central Europe on Friday, May 16, a lot of rain and cool weather next weekend, we are monitoring the weather situation these days, it is evident that this development of the weather is becoming more and more certain," Ristić wrote on his Facebook account.
According to the weather forecast of the State Hydrometeorological Institute (RHMZ), in the next 5 days in Serbia, the mornings will be very cold and fresh, while during the day the temperature will rise to a maximum of 22 degrees.
Changeable weather awaits us until Thursday, with alternating sunny and cloudy intervals, it will be dry in most places, while rain and showers are expected only in some places as short-term and isolated occurrences. Maximum temperature from 16 to 22 degrees, RHMZ points out.
As early as Friday, there will be a change when we expect moderate to completely cloudy weather with frequent occurrence of rain, with a drop in temperature and increased northwesterly wind.
"A meeting of cold air and a cyclone is coming"
"It will rain again, that cyclone will come from the Ionian Sea to the southern Adriatic and colder air will come from the north on Thursday afternoon from Central Europe. There will be a meeting of cold air and a cyclone," meteorologist Ivan Ristic revealed to "Blic".
As he adds, more rain is expected south of the Sava and Danube rivers, and this time less in Vojvodina.
The temperature drops by 10 degrees
"Some models are forecasting that on Friday it will be a maximum of 12 to 15 degrees Celsius. Compared to Thursday, it is about 10 degrees less. On Thursday, 20 to 25 degrees Celsius is expected," Ristić said for "Blic".
As he reveals, most likely, it will be the last penetration of cold air from the north of Europe, and as of May 20, an increase in temperatures is expected, which should be between 23 and 27 degrees around May 25.
When the first heat wave arrives
According to Ristić's announcement, we can look forward to good weather at the end of May when we are slowly entering a warmer period.
"The first heat wave awaits us around June 21, when summer comes. What does that mean? Temperatures above 30 degrees - between 30 and 35 and more stable weather, dry with steam," revealed Ristić.
In the weather forecast, which Ristić worked with prof. Dr. Aleksandar Valjarević, it is stated that the minimum temperature for June is from 13 to 18 degrees, the maximum from 23 to 29 degrees, and when it is over 25 degrees, it is already summer temperatures, and this will happen in the third decade of June.
"Around June 25-26, we expect the first heat wave with temperatures up to 35 degrees. The end of June would be very warm and the water will warm up to over 20 degrees in Greece and the southern Adriatic. I expect there to be three to four heat waves in 2025, and the hottest will be in the third decade of July, around July 24-25, with temperatures of 41 degrees in Belgrade and 42 degrees in Serbia," Ristic says.
In June, on a couple of occasions, he expects higher amounts of precipitation, as much as 100 liters per square meter per day, so urban flooding may occur.
